Why we built this
Half of Americans have skipped care because of a bill they couldn’t afford. The other half got the care and got the bill anyway. We built LifeDesk because the medical billing system is one of the few in modern life where the cost of an error falls entirely on the person least equipped to spot it. That’s a fixable asymmetry.
What we do, in one sentence
We review medical bills, help prepare insurer appeals after signed authorization, and pursue potential overcharges. The patient never pays out of pocket — our fee comes out of what we recover, and if we recover nothing, they owe nothing.
What we believe
- Medical data is the most sensitive data a person owns. We treat it that way.
- People deserve clear information about the appeal rights in their own health plan.
- If we can’t honestly say we’ll win an appeal, we shouldn’t file it.
- Pricing should be aligned: we charge a percentage of recovery, not retainers.
- Plain English beats legalese, every time.
What we don't do
We don’t treat patients, give legal advice, or sell your data. We’re a billing-audit service, not a clinic, a law firm, or an ad network.
