Terms of Service

Effective 2026-07-18

1. What LifeDesk does

LifeDesk reviews medical bills submitted through direct intake, identifies potential billing issues, and can prepare and coordinate insurer appeals after you provide signed authorization, sign the case-specific service agreement, and complete the no-charge payment-method setup. The free audit is a high-level indication of potential issues, not a promise of recovery or a complete appeal package. Choosing a bill on this public website does not upload it or create a case. We are not a law firm, medical provider, or licensed public adjuster. Using LifeDesk does not create an attorney-client relationship.

2. Fees

The bill audit, appeal preparation, and filing cost $0. Our only case-based compensation is a 25% success fee on documented cash actually returned to you (15% for an active Pro member). A provider balance reduction without cash returned to you does not trigger this success fee. If no cash is recovered, you owe no success fee. LifeDesk Pro is an optional $79/month plan. Its subscription charge is separate from any case-based success fee. The public website does not currently provide instant checkout; current enrollment and billing terms are shown before enrollment.

3. Payment authorization

Before LifeDesk shares or transmits a detailed appeal, an accepted case requires a separate signed service agreement and a Stripe payment-method setup. Saving the method costs $0 and is not an upfront fee. After documented cash recovery, LifeDesk sends a recovery statement identifying the evidence type and review date, fee calculation, and planned charge. The saved method is not charged until the counsel-approved review period stated in the service agreement ends. A three-day period is currently only a proposal under review, not an active production term. If the bank requires customer authentication, Stripe provides a hosted payment step. You may dispute an incorrect recovery calculation before the scheduled charge; a dispute received before processor activity places the collection on hold for human review. This workflow is not active for public self-service intake until the case agreement and payment terms complete counsel review.

4. Your content

You grant LifeDesk a limited license to process the documents you submit solely for the purpose of auditing bills and filing appeals on your behalf. You retain ownership of your documents at all times. You can request deletion of records we hold about your case.

5. What LifeDesk won’t do

We will not dispute a bill we believe to be accurate. We will not file appeals that contain statements we know to be false. We will not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or third parties outside the scope of processing your case.

6. Outcomes & disclaimers

Sample amounts and walkthroughs are fictional and illustrative, not forecasts or customer results. Each appeal turns on the specific facts of the bill, plan, records, and insurer response. Nothing on this site is legal, tax, or medical advice.

7. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend accounts for fraud, misuse, or violation of these terms. Any effect of cancellation or payment-authorization revocation on a previously documented recovery is governed by the case-specific agreement and applicable law; LifeDesk does not automatically collect after payment authority is revoked.

8. Case-specific agreement

Using this public website does not activate paid case services. Before an accepted case begins, the separate agreement presented for your review and signature will state the applicable governing-law, venue, cancellation, and dispute terms. Those case terms remain counsel-gated. Nothing on this page limits rights you have under applicable federal or state consumer-protection law.
