1. What LifeDesk does
LifeDesk reviews medical bills submitted through direct intake, identifies potential billing issues, and can prepare and coordinate insurer appeals after you provide signed authorization. Choosing a bill on this public website does not upload it or create a case. We are not a law firm, medical provider, or licensed public adjuster. Using LifeDesk does not create an attorney-client relationship.
2. Fees
You never pay LifeDesk out of pocket on the Free plan. The bill audit is free, preparing and filing your appeal is free, and our only compensation is a 25% contingency fee on amounts actually recovered from your insurer, invoiced within 10 business days of a confirmed recovery. If we recover nothing, you owe nothing. LifeDesk Pro is an optional $79/month plan with a reduced 15% contingency fee on recoveries. The public website does not currently provide instant checkout; any enrollment and billing terms will be shown before you enroll. The contingency fee is separate from a Pro subscription and is owed only on amounts actually recovered.
3. Your content
You grant LifeDesk a limited license to process the documents you submit solely for the purpose of auditing bills and filing appeals on your behalf. You retain ownership of your documents at all times. You can request deletion of records we hold about your case.
4. What LifeDesk won’t do
We will not dispute a bill we believe to be accurate. We will not file appeals that contain statements we know to be false. We will not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or third parties outside the scope of processing your case.
5. Outcomes & disclaimers
Any estimates shown are illustrative, based on typical billing-error patterns, and are not a guarantee. Each appeal turns on the specific facts of your bill, your plan, and your insurer’s response. Nothing on this site is legal, tax, or medical advice.
6. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend accounts for fraud, misuse, or violation of these terms. Fees owed for recoveries already confirmed survive termination.
7. Governing law
Governing law: [PENDING FINAL LEGAL CONFIRMATION]. We intend these terms to be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, but this — along with the venue and the process for resolving any dispute (including whether disputes are handled by arbitration or in court) — is still being finalized with counsel and is not settled. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under applicable US federal or state consumer-protection laws.
